Maryland head coach Michael Locksley has secured the first commitment flip since taking control of the program, as Isaiah Hazel has decided to decommit from West Virginia and commit to the Terrapins.
The news of Hazel’s flip was first reported by Scout and confirmed by InsideMdSports and multiple other outlets Thursday morning.
Hazel is a four-star wide receiver from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, who attends Dr. Henry Wise high school in Prince George’s County. He originally committed to West Virginia on July 28th, 2018 and his flip became official on Wednesday. The 247Sports Composite ranks Hazel as the fourth-best player out of Maryland in 2019, and as the 35th-best wide receiver.
