Maryland officially signed Wednesday four-star 2025 interior offensive lineman Jaylen Gilchrist, its highest-ranked recruit of the class.
The 6-foot-4.5, 295-pound Gilchrist played at Salem High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is the No. 90-overall player and No. 6 player interior lineman in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Gilchrist is a huge pickup for the Terps, who have struggled to develop interior offensive line talent in recent years. He committed in August, picking Maryland over South Carolina and Georgia.
He took some time to put pen to paper Wednesday, sparking some short-lived fears of a late flip.
