Three-star wide receiver Darryl Jones is officially Maryland-bound for 2018 after signing his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
Jones, who attends Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, is the No. 5 prospect in Virginia and the No. 68 wideout in the country, per the 247Sports Composite. He verbally committed to the Terps in August over Virginia and Virginia Tech.
Maryland has landed three wide receivers in this class, with Jones the highest-rated of the bunch. The Terps had five freshman wideouts last season, only two of whom—Tahj Capehart and Sean Nelson—saw the field, and even that was primarily on special teams.
