Maryland football wasn’t expected to have a particularly busy early signing day, but in addition to signing at least a couple of its verbal commits, the Terps just added the top tight end in the state.
Malik Jackson, a three-star prospect from Meade Senior High School, pledged to the Terps and signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
Jackson is the No. 36 prospect in the state of Maryland and No. 98 tight end in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. A Maryland offer to Jackson had not been publicly reported, but he had visited campus recently.
