Three-star edge rusher Terrance Butler Jr. made his commitment to Maryland football official Wednesday, signing his letter of intent.
Butler’s 6’3, 220-pound stature allows him to play the hybrid position of a defensive end and a linebacker. He is skilled at rushing the passer and covering the run. His speed allows him to make plays all over the field.
The Baltimore native has a grade of 0.8540 from the 247Sports Composite, ranking as the No. 52 defensive end in the 2021 class and the No. 25 player in the state of Maryland.
Before he announced his commitment to Maryland on June 1, Butler also had FIU, Tennessee, Michigan State, Syracuse and Minnesota in his top-six.
