Maryland football landed its second commitment in less than a week as Terrance Butler Jr. announced his pledge to the Terps Monday.
The Terps picked up four-star defensive tackle Tommy Akingbesote last Tuesday, continuing to build on an already glowing defensive front for the future. Maryland now has six commitments along the defensive line, which includes the top-five overall committed players in the class.
Butler ranks as the No. 25 player in Maryland and the No. 52 defensive end in the 2021 class, according to the 24/7 Sports Composite.
Standing at 6’3, 220 pounds, Butler provides a solid frame for the college level with flexibility to play defensive end and outside linebacker.
