Deshawn Holt officially became a member of Maryland football’s 2019 recruiting class Wednesday morning, as the three-star defensive end was the fourth to sign and send in his National Letter of Intent.
Holt committed to the Terps in June 2018 and reaffirmed his pledge to Maryland’s new staff after the coaching turnover. The Waldorf, Maryland, native, who attended Westlake High School, is the No. 22 recruit in the state and the No. 73 weak-side defensive end in America, according to the 247Sports Composite. Overall, he is the No. 1,197 overall recruit for 2019.
Holt, who is listed at 6’5 and 220 pounds, chose Maryland over offers from Bowling Green, Cincinnati and Rutgers, among others.
