Tayvion “Tank” Land is officially a member of Maryland football’s 2019 recruiting class, as the three-star cornerback signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
Land committed to the Terps in May and remained on board through a turbulent season that included head coach DJ Durkin’s firing in October. The Virginia Beach native is the No. 11 prospect in the state of Virginia and the No. 46 cornerback in the country (No. 434 overall), according to the 247Sports Composite. Until four-star wide receiver Isaiah Hazel joined the class in December, Land was Maryland’s highest-rated commit.
