The Maryland men’s basketball team faced Georgetown for the first time in 22 years on Tuesday evening. Here are our three observations from the win:
- Battle on the boards – Maryland is one of the few teams around that boasts four very extremely talented post players. As much talent as the Terrapins have, they sure did have their fair share of struggles against the Hoyas. Maryland was outrebounded 36-28 and Georgetown also grabbed 10 offensive boards. All five Hoya starters had at least three rebounds and that was with key reserve center Jessie Govan only grabbing two boards.
