Maryland women’s lacrosse seniors Nadine Hadnagy, Zoe Stukenberg and Caroline Wannen were each drafted into the United Women’s Lacrosse League Monday night. Britt Poist, who graduated from Maryland in 2011, also got drafted. They will be playing in a league that is only in its second season.
Stukenberg, Wannen and Poist were all drafted by the Baltimore Ride. They will be joining former Terps Taylor Cummings, Brooke Griffin, Laura Merrifield and Katie Schwarzmann. In fact, Schwarzmann was the first player taken in the league’s inaugural draft last year.
The Long Island Sound drafted Hadnagy Monday night.
