HUNTINGTON — Western Kentucky, the No. 1 seed in Conference USA’s Championship Tournament, beat No. 3 seed Southern Miss to claim its second straight C-USA title and second trip to the NCAA Tournament, 67-56. WKU was led by Tashia Brown with 17 points and four rebounds, Kendall Noble has 15 points, five rebounds and five assists and Ivy Brown, who scored eight points with 10 rebounds.
Also in double figures for the Hilltoppers was Sidnee Bopp with 12 points, hitting 4-of-5 from three. WKU hit 7-of-18 from distance (39%), and 25-of-60 from the field (42%). The ‘Tops also hit 10-of-13 at the line (77%).
