HUNTINGTON – Marshall University’s athletic programs continued their recent upward trend in the classroom, when the NCAA announced the annual Division I Academic Progress Rate measurements on Wednesday.
The Thundering Herd’s multiyear figures – compiled over a four-year period – were the university’s best since the NCAA began tracking the APR in the 2004-05 school year.
Marshall’s multiyear scores (2011-12 through 2014-15) in seven sports were the highest compiled by the Herd in the 11-year history of the APR. Those sports are: baseball, football, men’s basketball, men’s golf, women’s basketball, women’s cross country and volleyball.
