HUNTINGTON — Class AAA No. 2-ranked Spring Valley Timberwolves edged No. 6 Capital, 20-14, on Saturday afternoon at the Wolves Den in Huntington. The Wayne County school will advance to the school’s first AAA football state championship game this Saturday at noon at Wheeling (W.Va.) Island Stadium, one of three games in the “Super Six State Championships.” Spring Valley (12-1) will face No. 1 Martinsburg (13-0) on Saturday afternoon, and the game will air beginning at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN Huntington 94.1 FM and AM 930, part of the WVMetroNews coverage of the Super Six with kickoff at high noon.
