HUNTINGTON – The Marshall Thundering Herd started Conference USA play with a huge win, 94-76, over WKU to push the Herd’s record to 5-9, 1-0 in league play. WKU falls to 8-6 overall, 0-1.
Here are what the home crowd of 4,623 saw and cheered for as the Herd was decked out in black jerseys, shorts, socks and shoes for the C-USA opener, wearing black uniforms for the first time since Coach Greg White wore them twice back in 2001 and 2002.
Coach Danny D’Antoni could not think of a better thing for his players than new uniforms for the start of the “second season” in conference play, and getting the win as a late birthday present for his father, Lewis, who turned 102-years old on Thursday, Dec.
