Propelled by a perfect shooting percentage from the free throw line, Marshall University’s women’s basketball defeated UTSA 66-53 Thursday night in the Cam Henderson Center.
The Thundering Herd improved to 10-13 overall (5-7 Conference USA), while the Roadrunners fell to 6-17 overall (2-10 C-USA).
“It was a good solid win,” Marshall Head Coach Tony Kemper said. “It wasn’t perfect, but it was good enough. We needed it. We’re moving in the right direction. I thought we really pressed in the first half. I thought we did a good job until the end. I thought we did a decent job on the glass.
