HUNTINGTON – The women’s soccer program moved to 1-2 on the season with a win at Longwood, 1-0, while Marshall volleyball earned a win in its first contest on Friday evening by beating the Purple Aces of Evansville. The men’s soccer team was on the wrong end in its home and season opener, falling to former Mid-American Conference rival Western Michigan, 2-0. Bob Gray’s team will get a chance to even the record when the Titans of Detroit come in for a game at “The Vet” Sunday at 1 p.m.
