HUNTINGTON — Lazar Milinkovic has returned to accept an assistant coaching position for the Thundering Herd, head coach Matt Daniel announced Wednesday.
A native of Belgrade, Serbia, has been an assistant coach for Morehead State for the past three years and served as a graduate assistant at Marshall for two years prior to working at MSU.
Last year, he helped mentor Almesha Jones, who was named first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference after finishing as the program’s all-time leader in assists (598) and second in steals (250).
Milinkovic was with the Thundering Herd during Daniel’s first two seasons (2012-13 and 2013-14) and worked with 15 student-athletes who were named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
