HUNTINGTON — The Marshall Thundering Herd, a 6-seed in the Conference USA Basketball Championships did job one: they won the first round game over No. 11 Florida Atlantic, 89-74. But maybe more importantly, and for the first time this year, Marshall played 14 players in a game. Considering the Herd had only played 13 players in three games this season, the last back on Jan. 26 in a 21-point win over UTSA, playing the entire roster could pay off on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday if the Herd continues to win and plays in the championship game on March 11.
