Marshall University’s tennis team (3-2) heads to Louisville, Kentucky Friday to face the University of Louisville (6-1).
The Herd won its last matches against Morehead State University (0-6) and Radford University (6-1) Feb. 5.
Last season, Marshall overpowered Louisville to win, 5-2, on the Herd’s home court.
Louisville is coming off a split last weekend as it beat Murray State University (2-1) but fell to Middle Tennessee State University (4-4) in a match that came down to the final swing.
Marshall head coach John Mercer said Louisville is a competitive ACC team. Mercer said he is sure Louisville will be prepared, especially considering the match will be on the Cardinals’ home court.
