Wide receiver Michael Clark, the 6-foot-7 former Division I basketball player who debuted in college football last season, is leaving Marshall to declare for the NFL draft.
Meanwhile, sources told the Gazette-Mail that wide receiver Darian Owens — once a highly touted UCLA recruit who enrolled at Marshall last August — has received a waiver from the NCAA and is eligible to practice this spring.
The Fresno, California, native has a wide-open dance floor after Clark’s departure. That follows Deon-Tay McManus’ declaration for the draft, plus the graduation of Justin Hunt and slot receiver Josh Knight.
