NEW YORK, N.Y. — Former Marshall University pitcher Aaron Blair came off the disabled list on Monday, Sept. 12, and then started for the Atlanta Braves in their first game against the Mets at Citi Field in New York City.
Blair went six complete, quality innings, allowing two earned runs, four hits, a walk and had four strikeouts in earning his first major league victory in a 7-3 win over the Mets. It was a big change for Blair, who pitched at Marshall 2010-2013, made seven starts and appeared in 12 games in his true freshman season.
