NORFOLK, Va. — For Marshall’s women, it was the same old story on the road. For the second game in a row, the Thundering Herd jumped out to a lead through the first two-quarters, only to be blown out in the second half. Charlotte did it to the Herd on Thursday, and on Saturday afternoon, the Old Dominion women’s basketball team outscored visiting Marshall 47-21 in the second half to roll over the Herd in a 77-55 win Saturday at the Ted Constant Center.
The Lady Monarchs improved to 12-14 overall and 8-6 in Conference USA while Marshall dropped its third straight game to fall to 16-9 overall but 6-8 in the league.
