HUNTINGTON — Jon Elmore seemed to part the defense every time he drove to the basket, and Stevie Browning couldn’t miss on midrange jumpers.
It was a good thing for Marshall, which needed all of their 62 combined points to beat back Toledo 111-105 in overtime Saturday night.
With 5,696 looking on at Cam Henderson Center, Elmore scored 35 points and Browning 27. They were a major part of a Thundering Herd offense that shot 62.7 percent from the floor.
Ryan Taylor had 16 points and four blocks, Austin Loop hit four 3-pointers for 12 points and Aleksa Nikolic had eight rebounds, the last of which sewed up the contest.
