BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Getting 24 points from both James Kelly and Jon Elmore was just enough including a final seconds “alley-oops,” plus two clutch free throws by Stevie Browning with 4 seconds to play, gave the Marshall Thundering Herd its first ever win at Western Kentucky University, 96-93, in overtime at E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Ky.
Marshall improves to 13-12, 9-3 in Conference USA games, while WKU falls to 12-13, 4-8 in C-USA. The Herd improves to 5-2 on the road in Conference USA play this year, after winning just four road games in conference in the last three seasons combined, and MU broke an all-time 0-7 streak at WKU with this win.
