Marshall men’s basketball picked up its first road victory of 2016 on the last day of the year. With that hurdle knocked down, the Thundering Herd could also celebrate its first win in Conference USA with a 94-70 win at FIU at the Lime Court at FIU Arena in Miami, Fla., on Saturday. The Herd improved to 8-6 this season, 1-0 in league play and in first place with other winners on this first day of league play while the Panthers drop to 4-10, 0-1 in league play, and lose against Marshall for the fifth time in six meetings all-time.
