HUNTINGTON — On the kind of practice morning the offensive linemen will wish later this week wasn’t wasted without full pads — that comes Friday — the Marshall Thundering Herd of Doc Holliday took to the James F. Edwards Field inside the Joan C. Edwards Stadium for day one, practice one of the 2016 season. In a lineup of mostly veterans and starters in the 9:45 a.m. practice.
The by-and-large newcomers will takes the field for the split-squad workout in jerseys, helmets and no pads at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon as well as Tuesday, then the team will continue with split-squads through “shells” (helmets and shoulder pads) for Wednesday and Thursday before all join together for Friday.
