HUNTINGTON — Marshall desperately needs a win and, on paper, a good opportunity is coming tonight.
The Thundering Herd’s run of opponents above .500 is abating for a game, as Eastern Illinois is coming to Cam Henderson Center. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
The Herd (0-6) will try to end its nine-game skid against the Panthers (2-4), who are riding a modest two-game winning streak. They defeated Northern Kentucky 79-73 in overtime last weekend, a few days after beating Indiana State 68-62.
But there are tough losses on the EIU resume: 88-49 to Indiana, 73-56 to Ball State and 83-63 to Western Illinois.
