HUNTINGTON — Anthony Anderson gets the comparisons to Devon Johnson. The “Rockhead” act helped bring him to Marshall.
“Even before I came here, I’d watch his highlights. I knew about him way before I had an offer from Marshall,” Anderson said. “Just to see the things he did in this program, that really sparked my interest, because I want to come in and do the same thing.”
Yes, it appears Johnson left that much of a legacy, perhaps larger than the 1,767 yards he gained in 2014, a single-season high in the Thundering Herd’s I-A/FBS era.
Marshall signed two running backs on national signing day, though both failed to qualify.
