The Marshall University Thundering Herd will be visited by the 0-1 Morgan State Bears to kick off their 2016 football season. Marshall is in a unique situation, considering their bye week was week one of the college football season for everyone else.
However, head coach Doc Holliday sees advantages in this unusual situation.
“It is a good time for the new guys to learn how important game preparation is,” Holliday said. “We have a tough opponent coming up in Morgan State. They have a much more physical defense this year. They are playing in press coverage, which wasn’t in their game plan last year.
