HUNTINGTON — With a tough nonconference slate now complete, the Marshall men’s basketball team can turn its attention to conference play and, in its own way, a new season to begin the new year.
The Thundering Herd (4-9) enters today’s Conference USA opener at home against Western Kentucky ranked 27th in the country in terms of strength of schedule. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
That opening slate included games at Tennessee, in Charleston against West Virginia, and on the road at Maryland last Sunday.
Coach Dan D’Antoni hopes the rugged early-season slate has prepared his team for the conference grind to come.
