HUNTINGTON — After struggling somewhat in two previous scrimmages, quarterback Chase Litton and the Marshall offense showed how special they could be Saturday in the Green and White Game.
On play No. 3, Litton found Emanuel Byrd down the middle for 31 yards. Byrd, the tight end who stands to play a lot in two-tight-end and two-slot sets, was named offensive player of the spring.
Litton threw to 6-foot-7 Michael Clark for 8 yards, then Hyleck Foster ran for 5. From the defense’s 21-yard line, Litton threw a lob for Clark in the end zone — and hit paydirt.
