HUNTINGTON — A little less than 12 months ago, a number of Marshall fans smacked their foreheads when their team lost an exhibition game to Division II Newberry, 101-89.
Then or now, coach Dan D’Antoni isn’t inclined to panic.
“I went home and went to sleep, just like I usually do,” he said. “Listen, even after the Birmingham game [a controversial loss last year] I went home and went to sleep.”
The Thundering Herd begins its two-game exhibition slate Thursday night against West Virginia State at Cam Henderson Center. Tip-off is an earlier-than-usual 6 p.m.
