Marshall football notebook: UConn brings mammoth front line to St. Petersburg Bowl

HUNTINGTON — As Marshall players are starting to learn about their bowl opponent, a few words keep popping up.

Big. Long. Physical.

One peek at the depth chart offers a clue. The offensive line, in particular, draws the eye.

From left tackle across, the Huskies measure 6-foot-6, 312 pounds; 6-6, 309; 6-6, 302; 6-2, 301; and 6-8, 311. The tight ends — the Huskies’ depth chart is based on a two-tight set — are 6-6, 252 and 6-7 252.

Can you wrap your arms around that? Not easily, says MU defensive end Ryan Bee.

“For me, it will be a challenge, because I’ve usually got the advantage with my length,” Bee said Monday.
