HUNTINGTON — Marshall quarterback Chase Litton’s long winter started last Nov. 19, a week earlier than that of most teammates.
Remember, he was injured and suspended for the season finale a week later, not playing in the Thundering Herd’s 60-6 massacre by Western Kentucky.
Four-plus months later, 125 days in all, the junior-to-be quarterback returned to the Joan C. Edwards Stadium field to begin the next stage of the redemption process.
This is Litton’s third spring, and most pressing. He not only has to improve after a 3-9 season pockmarked by personal on-field disappointments, he has to re-establish himself as a leader.
