HUNTINGTON — Marshall men’s basketball broke the century mark in its final exhibition game of the year against the University of Charleston, but had to come back from a 17-point first half deficit to do so for a 100-76 win.
The Thundering Herd trailed 34-17 with 8:46 remaining in the first half with reserves out on the floor, when head coach Dan D’Antoni brought starters Jon Elmore, Stevie Browning and Austin Loop back on the court.
“We knew that was going to happen,” Browning said. “UC is a good team; they’ve always been a good team. Basketball is a game of runs and you just have to weather the storm.
