Marshall’s football program has filled out its 2018 and 2019 non-conference schedules with home games against Football Championship Subdivision opponents, a source confirmed Tuesday.
The Thundering Herd will take on rivals from another era, Eastern Kentucky and Virginia Military Institute. The EKU game is set for Sept. 8, 2018 and the VMI contest will be Aug. 31, 2019, both at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
Changes and shifts between seasons are always possible, but Marshall’s non-conference slates currently are full through 2020.
EKU completes a six-game home schedule in 2018. Marshall also hosts North Carolina State and visits Miami (Ohio) and South Carolina.
