HUNTINGTON — At times in Marshall’s 110-93 win Saturday night over Charlotte, all Dan D’Antoni and Mark Price could do was watch. In the second half D’Antoni did most of his viewing with a smile.
He saw his Thundering Herd shoot 61.5 percent from the field and muffle the 3-point-minded 49ers after the intermission, outscoring them 59-42. The crowd of 6,617 at Cam Henderson Center lapped it up.
“About what we expected. They’re going to go up and down like us,” said MU coach D’Antoni. “The thing that bothers me when you play a team like us, and other coaches, they’re so unpredictable it almost takes the coach out of us, so you just hope you’re players pull it out.
