Holliday Ready For 2016 To Start This Weekend For Herd

HUNTINGTON — Marshall Head Coach John “Doc” Holliday met with the media on Tuesday, talking about beginning his seventh season as the leader of the Thundering Herd. Holliday, 50-28 over six seasons with a Group of 5 conferences best of three consecutive 10-or-more wins in a season that is only topped by Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and Ohio State out of the Power 5 leagues.

Holliday, now 59-years old, received a six-year contract extension (through July 2021) for $755,500 annually on April 8, 2015. Herd fans are hoping to keep the ultra-successful coach of the Herd until the end of that contract, and maybe a bit more.
