HUNTINGTON — If you won your first game of the year, maybe you would celebrate with a champagne toast, dinner, taking out your best girl or something real big.
For Herd Coach Danny D’Antoni, it is one step down a long road and it looks like he will take that celebration with a balanced breakfast cereal around midnight.
“I’ll have some Sugar Pops when I get home,” D’Antoni said of his post game, “I’ll have some cereal, some Sugar Pops and I’ll be as giddy as hell about the win.”
No matter how you celebrate it, D’Antoni’s Herd picked up its first win in seven outings with double-figure scoring performances from five players, including a team-high 22 points from junior point-forward Ryan Taylor and a second double-double in a row by senior forward James Kelly as Marshall men’s basketball won, 82-76, over Eastern Illinois (2-5) on Wednesday night at Cam Henderson Center.
