BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Marshall baseball picked up where it left off on Friday, when the Herd scored an 8-1 win at WKU. In Saturday’s game, the Thundering Herd nearly doubled up on that effort, hitting four home runs and five doubles with 12 runs batted in on 15 hits in a 14-1 rout of the Hilltoppers at WKU’s Nick Denes Field.
The Herd improves to 29-17, 18-8 in C-USA while WKU falls to 24-26, 10-16 in league play. Marshall is 1/2 game in front of FAU for third, as the Owls are locked up with the Rice Owls in a rain delayed game at press time.
