Marshall University Thundering Herd will take the field to face off under the Friday night lights in a Conference USA battle against Louisiana Tech in the annual 75 game, which honors the lives lost in the 1970 Marshall team plane crash.
“This game is the most important game we play every year,” Head Coach Doc Holliday said. “It is the only time you put that black jersey on, the only time you put that ‘75’ on your helmet and when you do that, you strap up a little tighter and prepare a little harder.”
This season the game falls against the top team in the West Division of C-USA, LA Tech, meaning the stakes are high for the matchup.
