HUNTINGTON — Sometimes you just can’t figure out what happens to young men in basketball uniforms. Coming into the Marshall men’s basketball game tonight at WKU, the Herd had lost three in a row, slipping down to 6-5 in league play, and were just 2-10 away from home on the year.
Meanwhile, the Hilltoppers of WKU were on a pretty good roll, winning 3-of-4 while starting a 3-game home stand starting against Marshall. The ‘Toppers also probably hoped there was a chance to get some revenge on the Herd who tied a MU record with a 19-of-41 from three in Huntington for the Herd’s third straight win over the ‘Toppers in a series where WKU led 13-9 all-time coming in.
