CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Marshall baseball team continued its march through the Herd record books with a record 31st win in a season, most in any Marshall season, a second complete game at home for a senior pitcher and a record RBI day for a senior designated hitter in — by the way — Marshall’s tenth consecutive win in Conference USA play, leaving the team picked for last by the coaches a half-game within first place with two to play.
Marshall made team history Thursday afternoon with a 5-3 win over Old Dominion (31-21, 14-14 C-USA), who, like the Herd, has clinched a spot in the C-USA Tournament but is playing for seeding this weekend.
