BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Marshall baseball homered in the first, fourth and fifth innings to jump out to a 5-0 in an 8-1 runaway win against the Hilltoppers of WKU at Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green. The Herd has already clinched a berth in the Conference USA Tournament, Marshall’s first trip to the tourney since 2010.
The Herd came into the game ranked 30th in the nation with 44 home runs, and now sets at 47 on the in season. Marshall also boosted its 1.0 home runs per game, 19th in the nation, with three home runs against WKU (24-25, 10-15 in C-USA).
