The Marshall men’s basketball team looks to extend its winning streak over Florida International Saturday night at the Cam Henderson Center.
The Herd is entering the contest with a 11-6 (4-0 C-USA) record after defeating Florida Atlantic, 96-84, Thursday night. The Panthers are coming in with a 12-6 (3-2 C-USA) record after defeating Western Kentucky on the road, 77-76, Thursday night.
“They’re (FIU) still different than last year,” Marshall head coach Dan D’Antoni said. “(It’s a) much faster pace. I think we’re tough. (The game) should be like our state: wild and wonderful.”
Junior forward Osasumwen Osaghae led the Panthers in points on Thursday with 16, shooting 83 percent (5-of-6) in field goals.
