HUNTINGTON — The Marshall women’s team, who opened the season 10-3 including back-to-back wins over FIU and Florida Atlantic in Conference USA, has taken a turn for the worst since then. Marshall — hoping to turn things around in a 3-game home state — has played two of those games and it has become a free fall for the team with back-to-back losses this weekend.
The Herd led for the first quarter, and the game was tied at the half, but Louisiana Tech held Marshall to just 3-of-16 shooting in the third quarter (2-of-9 from three) to pull away and beat the Marshall women, 72-54.
