HUNTINGTON – Marshall football dropped its final road game of the season with a 31-14 setback at FIU on Saturday evening. The Thundering Herd moves to 3-8 (2-5 Conference USA), while the Panthers improve to 4-7 (4-3 C-USA). Coach Doc Holliday also took the first loss as the Herd’s head coach (since 2010) in the state of Florida, dropping to 8-1 in the Sunshine State.
Marshall has lost for the first time this season to North Texas, Charlotte, Old Dominion and now FIU. The Herd will head home for a TBA game time and channel with East Division league leader WKU, who is tied with Old Dominion for first place with 8-3 overall marks and 6-1 league marks.
