ATLANTA, Ga. — Opening Day is Feb. 17 for NCAA Baseball and for the Marshall University Thundering Herd of Coach Jeff Waggoner as the Herd heads south to the Peach State to take on Georgia State Panthers Friday, Georgia Tech on Saturday and Kennesaw State on Sunday to open the 2017 season. The game with Georgia St. is at 4 p.m. at the GSU Baseball Complex as part of the third annual Atlanta Challenge. The Panthers will also play Western Michigan (Sat., Feb. 18) and BYU (Monday, Feb. 20) also visit for the opening weekend while the Herd meets the Yellow Jackets of Ga.
