CINCINNATI – This time of year for professional baseball players is always a bit hectic, with clubs heading to their hometowns from spring training locations in Arizona and Florida.
But no adjective can do justice to the two weeks of change Marshall mound alumnus Dan Straily has endured.
Straily started spring training in Kissimmee, Fla., with the Houston Astros, but was traded on March 28 to San Diego in exchange for veteran catcher Eric Kratz. Then last Friday, Straily was claimed off waivers by the Reds and hopped a flight later that day to Cincinnati.
