HUNTINGTON — Doc Holliday isn’t given to hyperbolic statements at his weekly press conference, and this Tuesday was no exception.
But the seventh-year Marshall coach was a little upbeat a few days after his team finally posted one in the win column. In a long, difficult season, the 42-17 win over Middle Tennessee was refreshing for the Thundering Herd.
For now, at least for this one week, some expectations have been re-established.
“I told them Sunday, let’s be that team we saw Saturday night,” Holliday said. “That’s the team we expect to be, that’s the team we’ve been around here for a long time.
